The cost of laser vision correction can vary from as little as $199 an eye to $3000 an eye. But the old saying, “you get what you pay for” is not one to put to chance when it comes to your vision.
At NW Cornea Institute, we may not be the cheapest but we are actually proud of that as our pricing merely reflects the effort and quality of care we offer.
Our price is $2,500 per eye (however we do offer discounts to local area firefighters, police officers and Legacy employees). The cost of the procedure includes your pre-op, one year of post operative care, and an enhancement is included if within that first year you and the physician feel it is needed.
We offer a no interest payment plan option and it is reimbursable through most flexible spending accounts.
With that said, you might still be wondering if the cost difference is worth it. Why not just go for the $199 Groupon option?
At Legacy Devers Eye Institute-Laser Vision Services, iLASIK surgery is performed by cornea fellowship-trained ophthalmologists, Michael Straiko, M.D. and Mark Terry, M.D. All pre- and post-operative screenings are done by a trained corneal specialist and included in the price of procedure. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you are talking about your eyesight, you really want the best care possible.
Our screening techniques are extremely thorough. We use specialized equipment to map your eye and measure your corneal thickness. Corneal thickness and shape are one of many measurements essential to determining your candidacy for a LASIK procedure. If your eye is not carefully analyzed beforehand you can run into multiple problems, including corneal ectasia.
Dr. Mark Terry and Dr. Michael Straiko are both highly sought after corneal surgeons who unfortunately see many post-LASIK complication patients who were not thoroughly screened beforehand.
